Dherynia
Dherynia is a large village next to the town of Paralimni surrounded by agricultural land, known as ‘Kokkinochoria’ as it is one of the red soil villages.
The area is particularly famous for producing strawberries and holds a yearly ‘Strawberry Festival’. The village has grown over the years and you will find the type of amenities typical of a small town.
It has many places of historical interest including Byzantine Churches, Folklore Museum, Outdoor Ampitheatre, Sports Centre, and The Cultural Centre of Occupied Famagusta where you can view the town of Varosha – commonly known as the ‘Ghost Town of Famagusta’. Its population is a mix of Cypriots & British residents and is suitable for permanent living and to both long & short term rentals.
